Calligraphy is NOT good handwritting. It IS illustrating letterforms. It can be calming, soothing, relaxing, creative, and expressive. I wanted to offer a beginning class that was inexpensive and fun! We use simple tools found easily. Check it out and see if you like it! Then, you can grow from there!

This video series shows you how to form the letters, both manuscript and cursive. I also show you how to do some embellishments as well as making envelopes look fun (and would be a joy to receive).

Supplies List

  1. Wide rule paper (like for students returning to school)

  2. Crayola Classic Broad Line Markers, 10 ct...like for students returning to school.

  3. Sharpie Pen, black fine point or 0.8mm

  4. OPTIONAL: white Gelly Roll gel pen (available at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc. or a white gel pen of any brand)
