Modern Calligraphy Experience

Calling all: lettering enthusiasts, crafters, DIYers, brides-to-be, maids-of-honor, hosts/hostesses, FUN HUMANS!

You LOVE the look of modern calligraphy and long to do it yourself.

Imagine having a stash of lovely blank cards….you just add “happy  _____________”, add a quick note, and beautifully write the name on the envelope.  Off you go.

You are not only done, you are winning!  No one else got them the same card, because yours is a one of a kind item, created just for them.

BUT…where to start?

Calligraphy does NOT have to be rocket science. Together, we’ll learn the basic strokes to create any letter, connect them, and start CREATING.

This all-inclusive 3.5-hour experience begins with brush pen instruction on basic strokes with seasoned instructor Jen Crom. We will then switch to the Pointed Dip Pen and learn the feel of the different tool. Next is a take-home project. We wrap up by exploring different tools, and how and when to use each.

Supplies provided (brush pen, oblique/straight pen holder, vellum/tracing paper, 2 nibs, black ink & pot, a workbook with 2 alphabets, and small project) and yours to keep at the end of class. A complimentary glass of wine or other beverage is included.

Lefties are encouraged to come and do very well.

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase any food (food and drinks available to purchase throughout class too!). Plan time to fine parking. Class will start promptly at 11:30 am.
